    Decision D was a Utrecht, Netherlands band formed in 1986 around the Christian organization God's Pleasure. Its early music was fast, bass-heavy thrash with rough vocals, hardcore momentum, and occasional classical-flavored lead guitar, as heard on the 1990 demo Testimony of Faith. The band moved toward technical death metal during the early 1990s, using rapid staccato riffs and frequent changes of time and mood. Moratoria added doomy vocal layers, operatic falsetto, and Latin percussion, although its first pre-release mix made the songs seem scattered. By 1995, The Last Prostitute had shifted toward slower progressive metal, with clearer singing, more prominent bass and drums, Latin-inflected rhythms, and intermittent bursts of speed.

    In 1994, Decision D played concerts in the United States and appeared at Wacken Open Air. The following year, the community associated with the band closed for financial reasons, and the group split after releasing The Last Prostitute on Bark Horse Records. Edwin Ogenio was the only member of the original lineup attached to a planned 2009 reunion, which was to use new musicians in the other positions. That return did not come to fruition, and Decision D remained a short-lived band whose recorded career ended with its 1995 release.
