    Lust Control is an Austin, Texas, Christian punk and thrash band formed in 1988. The group initially kept its members anonymous, using ski masks and pseudonyms while directing blunt songs at sexual sin. It also addressed lukewarm faith through confrontational lyrics about abortion and church compromise. Its first tape, This Is a Condom Nation, drove forward on rapid thrash with repetitive choruses and a raw live sound, though "Apocalyptic Nightmare" broke into psychedelic meandering and "There Is a Fountain" borrowed a heavy, plodding metal attack. Dancing Naked widened the frame by adding alternative dance rock to melodic thrash and inserting spoken surreal passages. By Fun Fun Feeling, released on Blonde Vinyl in 1991, the band had settled into speed-metal-lite, using dialogue and jokes to carry its attacks on lust and masturbation. The recurring subject was sexual guilt; the musical method was to make the sermon catchy, abrasive, and embarrassing.

    In 1994, Lust Control broke up after releasing Feminazi. Doug Van Pelt had been the band's spokesman and singer, while the reunited group later brought him back with guitarist Mitch Roberts; bassist John Wilson and drummer Phil Borrero completed the lineup. The 2001 compilation Worst of Lust Control gathered material from the early tapes alongside songs from Feminazi, preserving the band's short attacks on sexual conduct and Christian media, as well as its punk version of "There Is a Fountain." Van Pelt, Roberts, Wilson, and Borrero began rehearsing again in 2010 for the 2011 Cornerstone Festival. The reunion led to new recordings, and Tiny Little Dots appeared in 2013 with a heavier metal edge over the old punk foundation.
