Electronica/dance is big over in Europe but has yet to catch on as much here in the United States. It is even less well-known within Christian music circles, where the only place most will have heard it is on remix CDs. Even then it is usually only a few beats that are repeated over and over again. One of the few people within CCM who does electronica/dance is Andy Hunter, who has had his music in movies such as The Matrix and TV shows such as Alias. This album is one that will make the listener stand up and take notice as it is so different from anything in CCM today. The project may only be six tracks, but it feels as full as any LP, and not just because it clocks in at more than 43 minutes, longer than most CDs this year.
Highlights of the EP include the pulse-pounding opening number "Open My Eyes," and the closing track "To Life, To Love."
Solid EP from an artist that deserves more attention.
