Joyful rock, enormous choruses, with great reinforcements of keyboards: it is... ANGELINE!!! Properly energetic hard FM, and it swings!! That is how we like it!!... ANGELINE opens with "Dancing In The Night": it swings like mad, it is very melodic. Unless I am mistaken, the vocalist on this track is not the same as on the other songs: it could be Tomas KARLSSON, ANGELINE's new vocalist. Tomas is a far more metal vocalist than the one who appears on the other tracks. The guitars are well brought out, despite the omnipresence of the synths. "Sound Of Wishes" is a hit in the making, with good guitar work, and very prominent back-up vocals. "Dance" has a far better sound, for the simple reason that it is the 45 ANGELINE had put out in 1987: one would have liked a more up-to-date version of this hit all the same. And we would have preferred that Peter LJUNG, the producer, had let himself be told: "Go easy with the synths...!!!" "Dance" would have gained in aggression and in power. Finally, if you listen to "Heavenly Way", and if you know CHARIZMA's recent demos well, then you will inevitably make the connection. It is CHARIZMA to a tee. A hard FM that swings well, and a chorus as big as a hit!!! The vocalist on the last three tracks is a little too calm, and so we are led to appreciate the vocalist on "Dancing In The Night" all the more. Let us hope they keep him, this Tomas!!! He is the one they need!! In short, ANGELINE is an enormous hope of the Christian hard scene. They have everything it takes to break through... So tune in to this new Swedish representative, who is preparing to spread the Gospel through a melodic and energetic rock. Roll on hearing them on CD!!!

Heaven's Metal #25Reviewed by Doug Van PeltThis Swedish quintet plays a commercial progressive metal with lots of harmonies. The only thing holding them back from blowing doors down is the limited production values present in this recording. Those guys have an ear for successful songs. Maybe there's something in the water over in Sweden...Whatever it is, this is the third smokin' tape of melodic metal I've heard in this issue's batch of…
