If you like slow industrial fused with rap and 70's rock with booming bass, here's your band. Don't get too excited, though - this album leaves something to be desired. As with many industrial/techno groups, repetition is Blackhouse's primary tool, along with seemingly meaningless sampling. Track seven, "Gittin' Bizzy," is a solid 40+ seconds of a telephone busy signal, which is rather annoying; yet, I am told, "Industrial fans dig it!!" Who could argue with that? Track ten, "Bass Breath," is an instrumental, the likes of which you could hear booming from the low-rider of the rich kid across the street. This band is to be commended for its creative use of some of the most diverse electronic sounds in the world of sampling and tape manipulation. It's funky. It's industrial. It's Blackhouse.
