Believe it or not, this is the first time I've actually listened to a Bride album, and "Whoa momma!" I dig it! Their promo pack describes the music as "neo-psychedelic, hard Rock Blues," and I agree. Bride begins by slamming you against the wall with "Troubled Times", and it keeps coming with "Hired Gun", and, of course, the one everyone talks about, "Everybody Knows My Name". Drummer Jerry McBroom and bassist Rick Foley keep everything tight, as guitarist Troy Thompson does some very fine bluesy "wah wah" work. Lead vocalist Dale Thompson is quite impressive with his style of power vocals. The song I found very interesting was the last one, called "Sweet Louise". Talk about a total rip off! (Just joking guys!) Seriously, though, this song sounds like Rod Stewart himself wrote it and gave it to Bride to record. I enjoyed it. Great job guys, I tip my mike stand in your direction.
