Why there aren't more Christian reggae bands is a mystery since Christafari has done such a great job of blazing the trail. Word, Sound & Power is the third release by this powerful group, who have been around since 1989. They blend traditional reggae music with a more contemporary dance style, while always boldly proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The new line up consists entirely of professional Jamaican reggae musicians, and Mark Mohr continues as the lead vocalist, producer, songwriter, and spokesperson. Given that this album is similar to their previous releases, fans are sure to be pleased to find Christafari as strong as ever. If you haven't given Christian reggae a chance yet, this is a great place to start. No ganja needed, of course.
