I have got to get me some of that Louisville, Kentucky water. There is something in the rain or city filtering system that has been making this town a hot bed for punk rock and indie music. The Lords, Black Cross, National Acrobat, Falling Forward, Elliott and now Coliseum all have spawned from Louisville and there seems to be no end in sight for this city to keep exploding with talent and fame.
Coliseum is a power house of a punk rock band. They are loud, hard and gritty. It's about as raw as punk rock can get. The sub par recording quality just adds to the sound and the fury. This is definitely for fans of Black Flag and Black Cross (Ryan Patterson of Black Cross plays guitar and sings in Coliseum). I actually, dare I say, like Coliseum more than I like Black Cross. This debut album is very impressive and just an all out, balls to the wall, knock out album. It's punk rock as it should be. There are no frills and full of purpose and substance. True punk rock fans will love this album.
