Crystal Lewis stretches a little on More Live. The band here allows her to take more of a jazzy approach than her typical CCM fare. She wavers into 70's disco influences at times, almost sounding like Donna Summer. The hits are here -- "Beauty for Ashes," "God's Been Good to Me," "Lord, I Believe in You," and "People Get Ready, Jesus is Comin'" will be familiar to most.
There isn't anything here that really stands out -- as Lewis gets older, she continues to explore different styles, but most of it is still Christian radio, adult contemporary and young woman-oriented. She closes with a couple of covers: "The Blood Will Never Lose Its Power" and the Andrae Crouch classic "My Tribute." Bottom line, if you are a Lewis fan, you will enjoy this. If not, More Live likely won't change your opinion.
