I would describe these dudes as "dark sounding hardcore". I like how the first tracks starts off; slow intro, then just turns to fast brutal hardcore from there. The vocals remind me of Unashamed, sorta. He sounded like he was screaming and whispering sometimes. A few acoustic guitar breaks, which I love in heavy music, and they reminded me of Focal Point's acoustic work. The overall music is really well written. Some of the drums riffs go right along with the music, and put some really cool double bass and snare riffs in there, like in "Nothing" (second track). They also use some fast picking, single-noted riffs which always catch my ear.

At the beginning of "Heart So Cold", it starts out with quarter note bass drum four times, and it brought up "Ironman" in my head, then the bass plays this riff, and it sounded like "Spiders" by System of a Down. But the rest of the song is nothing even remotely like those two songs. The last song "Will to Consume", has an additional vocalist, sorta sounding like Jason of NIV. He's more brutal than the original singer. I thought he was more fit for EOM's style.

All in all, a very good album; it was recorded and mixed very well- you can tell every guitar/bass note, drum riff, and word spoken. Good job guys!

HM Magazine #82Reviewed by Doug Van PeltIf you are a fan of heavy bass, growling baritone vocals, and hardcore speed metal, then this album is one you should get. Throw in the occasional "clean" guitar and at times a slow drum beat and you get Edge of Mortality. The lyrics are without question. Definitely focused on God and our purpose.HM Magazine #81Reviewed by David M. PoggeOoohhh, I get chills just looking at the cover. Kind of spooky. Edge of Mortality play fast and furious hardcore that will make your hair stand on end. Upon your first listen, you will do one of three things: a) break into a one-man mosh pit and eventually ram through the door of your bedroom, b) jump up and down with excitement now that there is someone who can fill the void that Strongarm left…
