While Eso-Charis contains members of LS, they are nothing like them. This is not to say that they are gentle, but instead of the metal presentation, there is a new-school hardcore feel. Plenty of gut wrenching screaming, breakdowns, double bass, and occasional technical riffs. The first song "Born With a Future" is great with plenty of energy and catchy hooks. It got me excited, but unfortunately the songs that followed seemed uninspired. The overall guitar sound is monotonous with a tone that takes away from what they are trying to do. The rest of the album isn't bad but the songs tend to run into each other and get boring. There is definite talent here, but they can do better as evidenced by the first song and a short little number hidden at the end.
