Maryland's Exit 40 do heavy, Disciple-ish songs with Bible verses cited above their lyrics. While song titles like "God is Great," "Positive Messiah," and "Promised Land" are pretty ambiguous, it is quite possible that they are a Christian band (sic). People that like the groove-rock to come hard and hairy, with a guitar unashamedly out front at all times, will really dig their new CD, Myopia (Oh great, you know that's gonna end up in a press kit. . .). I will completely confess my bias right now. I don't like this kind of music. Just my tastes, man. But, even I can tell that this CD has a lot to offer to those that appreciate a well-laid heavy groove. They throw down hard, and never really let up, you know? Good show, mates. They're on our CD sampler, so check them out for yourself if you have one.
