We've been looking for a way to highlight this album in HM for a few months now. It's genuine Gregorian Chant, albeit suavely-produced sonics, and it covers some classic tunes. "Scarborough Fair," "The Sound Of Silence," "Tears In Heaven," and the Metallica hit "Nothing Else Matters" get the full-on chant treatment. The beautiful voices pulls you in, and the familiar melody takes you down. It must be heard to be believed. Once the novelty of hearing a Metallica song sung in Gregorian Chant wears off, the subtle yet tugging attraction of this mass of voices should keep you listening. Our esoteric pick of the month, for sure.
