Here's a pretty cool female vocal solo album with rich sounds to go with a rich voice. The down side for hard music enthusiasts is that this album steers down the middle for most of its ten cuts. CCM radio will find plenty of good material to choose from, and it will help raise the standards of quality on most CCM radio stations (which, unfortunately, are often quite low and full of generic sap). Heather's voice is gentle and rich, and the music behind her has a few twists that keep the overall sound slightly left of center. Kudos to producers Pete Stewart and Michael Tait. For mellow moods, this album provides a nice backdrop. This all changes, however, with the fantastic track "On His Way Home." It's an all-out rocker that would fit nicely on a Trish Murphy album -- ten pounds of grit and full of passionate energy. This song alone is worth looking into for the hard music fan. The last cut, "Tell Me Why," cuts loose as well. I hope she keeps venturing out of the safety zone into this area more often.

Bandoppler 2000Reviewed by Jeanette StroleSeasoning her music with soulful, R&B-influenced vocals, rhythmic guitar work, and catchy choruses, Heather Miller's new album Send Me an Angel is solid music for fans of female rockers like Shawn Colvin, or Sheryl Crow. Lending her a hand with production, some of the instrumentation and bgv's are treated by none other than former Grammatrain member, Pete Stewart, and dc Talk's Michael Tait, as…
The Phantom Tollbooth 2000Reviewed by Bert GanglHeather Miller entered the Christian music scene in the fall of 1998 with her debut album, Once Upon a Time. The release, which consisted mostly of radio-friendly light pop music, sold respectably and generated the hit single "Do You Know Now." For the most part, the new release, Send Me an Angel, trades in the bubblegum pop of Once Upon a Time for a folkier, more organic setting. Miller's voice,…
The Phantom Tollbooth 2000Reviewed by Michael EhretI don't know what to think of Heather Miller's debut release Send Me an Angel. On the one hand her voice is pleasing and she sings with plenty of passion. On the other hand there's a fair bit of "next big thing" pretension around her. She's pictured liberally throughout the booklet with one guitar or another, but there's no evidence she even plays in the disc credits. She writes a lot of her own…Similar sounding releases
