Here it goes. The first album I want to talk about is "Knock, Breathe, Shine" by Jacob's Trouble. This is their second album, containing 15 songs, produced and directed by Terry Taylor. Ojo Taylor (from Undercover), Gene Eugene, and Randy Stonehill all helped out on this project, but their help wasn't enough. The album is trash. (I'm sorry, I meant to say the album didn't quite meet up to my expectations). Jacob's Trouble put an album out in 1989 called "Door Into Summer"; and it showed a lot of potential. I was looking forward to the new album as perhaps a mature and developed contribution, but I was severely disappointed.

The more I listened to this album, the more I heard the same guitar riffs and same tunes from the first album. I mean it is tolerable but only for a couple of minutes; then it gets real irritating and you suddenly get this vicious mood swing where you want to kill anyone who talks to you for at least three days after you hear the album. I was sure there was a good song, but after listening to it a few times I couldn't find it, so I have given up. If anyone can find a decent song, please inform me so I can stop the torture. I will give Jacob's Trouble credit for some good guitar here and there, but they hurt me by ruining their only good music with sorry vocals. I probably wouldn't be so harsh if they wouldn't have put out a first album filled with so much potential, but I don't understand what happened. I cry, I cry, I cry.
