Are you hungry for a great DVD concert? The recipe is simple.
Start by mixing a "multi-platinum, Grammy-award winning band" with hundreds of enthusiastic fans. Stir in seventeen memorable hits. Add a cup of creative filmmaking and a pound of production. Toss in a "behind-the-scenes" documentary and "artflick" (filmed by the guitar tech's view of life on the road) to spice up the experience. Simmer thoroughly for over an hour.

Jars of Clay is a great concert band. Accomplished musicians who know how to write a great song. Their legacy is long and most of the "hits" are here, including "Flood," "Crazy Times," and "Unforgetful You." There also seems to be a growing sense of the spiritual by the boys in the band. The maturation of their faith continues to guide and guard their impressive musical gifts.
This DVD is a must-have for any Jars of Clay devotee. It's enjoyable. It's inspirational. It's enlightening. The band covers their whole catalog in fine fashion. And when the main stage can no longer hold them, they simply retire to a smaller forum for a four-song acoustic set (featuring "Boy On A String," "Needful Hands," "Liquid" and "Something Beautiful"). The DVD also includes a look at the making of their Eleventh Hour recording and a special, albeit quirky, look at life on the road (filmed by Sam Shifley, the guitar tech for the band). It makes for interesting fodder, but in the end, it's the magic of concert that makes this thing really cook.
