The opening track immediately caught me off guard. It's a pretty normal formula with fast paced guitars and drumming. The vocalist has a standard issue scream, but somewhere along the way, he begins singing in falsetto, which is where my attention perks up. This adds a new dimension to what otherwise had the potential to be another stale record. The next track I Think Patrick Swayze Is Sexy shouldn't stand out to me, but it does - with its poppy musical delivery and clap sequence/gang vocals.
You Sign Your Crimes With A Silver Bullet has a distinctly post hardcore feel to it and of course that catchy falsetto. The vocalist utilizes this trick throughout the record and as much as I try to dislike it, I can't. This isn't a groundbreaking record by any means, but it certainly is an enjoyable one!
