Here's some tasty commercial metal with some sweet guitar tones a la Charvel-Jackson guitars, Mesa Boogie amps, and Ken Arnold's fingers. I haven't heard an unsigned band tackle a commercial/melodic style like this in a long time. These guys are hot! Fans of Angelica will think that Arnold and Dennis Cameron went to the same school of songwriting. Handling all vocals himself as well, he shows his voice is as good as his playing. Now, this tape won't rival a Dokken or a Scorpions sonically, but it shows that Arnold knows how to pen a hook. Highlights include: "Jealous", with its big BGV's; "Paradise", with its slower, plodding pace and melodic guitar leads; and "Highway To Heaven", with its explosive solos. In case you haven't noticed, this is the kind of music I really like--heavy melodic! I would have to recommend this tape!
