Those wanting a glimpse at the not-so-pretty early days of Bride can do so at their own risk with this Matrix CD release. Culling songs from PG-13 and Monkey See Monkey Do, these 20 songs take many of us back to the old days when Dale and Troy would advertise and circulate their custom tapes in the underground. These were the days when songs like "Stand Up And Shout" were, like, "Wow, heavy metal man!"
As I'm sure the Thompson Bros. would agree, the majority of this stuff is laughable now...even the tunes that were re-recorded for Bride's first couple of records - "All Hallow's Eve," "Forever in Darkness" and "Heroes." But, for those wishing to relive those early years of Christian metal, you get the Matrix version here.
