Have you ever heard Nine Inch Nails? This brand of heavy Industrial noise is pretty popular these days. I mean, you can even see Ministry videos on Headbanger's Ball! This genre often mixes loud electric guitar with sampled voices, drum machines and sequenced rhythms. It's got the energy and minor key discordant feel of Metal and the bounce and rhythm of dance music. Mortal's lyrics are up front and introspective, meaningful and real. I think the band's music is cool, but a melody-conscious person like me can only take so much. Unless I'm in the mood for this, one album's worth is too long.
