After pursuing separate music interests, the husband and wife team of Norman and Amanda Stevens decided to join forces and formed the new group--Normandy. The result is a solid, well produced classic-rock album. Amanda has a rich, deep voice reminiscent of Kathy Troccoli. She does a good job on the vocals. The couple share the songwriting, with lyrics which usually revolve around their personal experiences. You'll find plenty of hooks in these lyrics which are Christ-centered yet manage to avoid the usual ccm cliches. The instruments are handled well with plenty of layering. "Rescue Me" is a radio ready worship ballad with some very appropriate string work in the background. However, you'll find the music spans from this gentle ballad to the glam arena rock of the eighties of "No More." The only thing holding this album back is that its classic rock sound ends up giving it a dated feel. I hope the talented duo update their sound a little as the talent is definitely there. I look forward to hearing more from them.

HM Magazine #74Reviewed by Brian Vincent McGovernMysterious, cool, and groovy, this husband/wife duo have offered up some high quality stuff. In a decidedly hard rock style, the production on this is choice, bringing out the best of Mandy's vocals and Norman's guitar tones. The tunes are, for the most part, eloquent, driving, and passionate, but I just wish it wasn't quite so dated.
