If you are looking for a good NOFX cover band for your birthday party then these guys may be a good choice. This album was a bit deceiving in that it opened with a song that was something right out of the vaults of Megadeth or any other 80's metal band but from there the gears shifted to a Fat Records type of band. Typically all Fat Record bands have a NOFX type sound with Fat Mike type of vocals and Off the Record fits this mold (except not as talented). To be honest, I just didn't like this album too much. There are too many aggressive punk bands that are doing the same thing as Off the Record and it is getting old to me. If you are a big fan of the Fat Record bands then you may want to convince one of your rich friends to buy the album so you can take a listen. Otherwise, when at the record store, just keep walking past this album right down to the Britney Spears display.
