Quite possibly my choice for most talented unknown band of the year. I truly love this disk. The band really showed a lot of strength with Made Complete. It enters the rap-core movement with a ton of talent riding in. This is a great disk for hard-core and rap-core fans alike. It fully fits the rap-core label with its fast bass and hard pausing guitar riffs. The vocals are hard-core cries that switch to rap. It is a very meaningful album for hard-core Christians.
Onceblind's sound is similar to Slipknot, Sevendust, and Korn(early). I really enjoyed this because of my love for rap-core, and I believe the guitars and vocals set the tone for this groups core style. The actual sound is more core than rap which makes this album uniquely different.
The band also has a vicious yelling problem. They scream loud and it sounds very cool with the crunchy music. The rap is also very good for a white guy who has to keep up with such a fast tempo. I still can't get over the core aspect. They prove to rap-core fans that the genre does change from time to time. This is an amazing band that really delivers a knock out punch with Made Complete. I loved this disk and hope the band makes a return because I am in total anticipation for it.
This is kind of a help to most bands in the underground market. My favorite song is probably "Birth to Contrast". The yelling is very emotional, the raps are tight and the lyrics could not get anymore thought provoking. In the end I gave this album a 9. It simply sounded the way I wanted it to sound. If I were you I would get this album cuz your CD library just wouldn't be "Made Complete" without it.
9/10
