The Plain White T's have been around for five years. They have played with the likes of Jimmy Eat World and Sum 41. "Stop" is their first release with Fearless records.
The Plain White T's are rocking the laid back poppy punk genre. The beginning of the album is very promising culminating in a really good track, "Shine," which is a slower ballad at the number 6 position in the batting order. Following this however, the rest of the album is a let down. The vocals are cheesy and the music uninspiring. On the plus side there is heavy use of the acoustic guitar throughout which adds another element to the music. I'm not sure what happened after track 6, but what I thought was going to be a really interesting album fizzled out in the end.
