This is the first release from this rock band from the Chicago area. The band has four members: Jim Clausing (percussion), Jason Harris (lead vocals and guitars), Dave Schoon (bass), and Steve Van Der Griend (guitar). The music is current, very well played and mixed on the heavier side, with fitting vocals, and the production is well done. Lyrics are definitely Christ-centered, but they are a little too blunt for my tastes. As "God" says:

God is Who he says He is
God is Who he says He is
God is Who he says He is
It's you who needs to wake up to the truth.

Lyricist Harris cites The Choir, Bruce Cockburn, Don Chaffer, Waterdeep, Counting Crows, Sam Phillips, Vigilantes of Love, and Mark Heard as influences. Harris should study those guys' lyrics more. Once he does so, RiverSevenWell could be a force to be reckoned with.
