The arrangements of the hymns are powerful and moving. The Christmas songs that I enjoyed immensely are "White Christmas," "Winter Wonderland," "My Favorite Things," and "Silver Bells." Patty's vocals achieve a beautiful blending of tones with the orchestral support and her vocal range effectively highlights the message in the songs. This project is a pleasant mix of musical styles and variations that will scintillate your senses and leave you eagerly awaiting the next track.
O Holy Night will likely become a treasured keepsake for many. The mix of songs is well chosen, and make this an excellent choice to share with a non-Christian friend-introducing them to the beauty of the music in the church while providing familiar songs to enjoy. The message and celebration of Christmas have not been diluted by including the more secular songs in this project, a challenge that is seldom handled so effectively. The closing song, "Star Of Bethlehem," brings the focus back where it started with the opening track of "Angels We Have Heard On High"-to the birth of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
