This trio kicks up some serious alternative-styled hard rock with a slice of grunge thrown in--along with some Awful Truth-style harmonies on verses. This band is clearly one of the better underground outfits currently crankin' out tunes. The song "Fills Me Like No Other" takes on more of the grunge style of heavy, plodding guitars and infectious chants in the chorus. The title track, "Love To You My Flower," features a very fat low end a la King's X (but not as monstrous). Vocalist Daniel Varela sounds good. His howls, his pouts and his low registered singing all are pleasant to hear. The tune "A.W.O.L." has the sass of Alice Cooper's best stuff along with the attitude. It's a song about how many skaters can honestly say with anger that "the people always give us hell." With its energetic approach, creative songwriting and lyrical depth, this tape is sure to get the band deserved attention.
