Scott Riggan's holiday CD Bethlehem is only nineteen minutes in length. In it, Riggan has six selections, including two of his own, plus four traditional holiday songs. Riggan has a listenable voice and the lyrics come through clear, but this is an average endeavor. The bluegrass instrumentation begins to sound the same about six minutes into the mix. The two selections, which stand out, are Riggan's own, the beginning title song, "Bethlehem" and the last one, "Remember." "Bethlehem" has Middle Eastern influence with rhythm and instrumentation, while "Remember" shines with a good piano and violin mix. The rest of the selections, "What Child Is This," "Silent Night," "Joy To The World" and the Gaithers' "Anthem for Christmas" are passable.
