These guys kinda reminded me of Travail- in two ways. One was the singer's way of singing. He would kinda talk out some parts loudly, then just kick in with screaming vocals. But his voice didn't sound the same as Matt of Travail, don't get me wrong. He could hold them out and when he does, they're pretty brutal. The second was the tuning of the guitars. One song sounded like a riff they would have played off Anchor of My Soul. (Remember that these guys sound nothing like Travail, I was just reminded of some things when I heard this.) I felt in some places that the drums could've been a lot heavier. The last song of the CD was not sounding like the previous four. It was slow and bored me out kinda.

I know that these guys are young, and could really put out some brutal hardcore. I'm not sure if the high, single noted guitar parts sounded cool to them, but they really didn't fit some of the music. I really like the singer's voice when he's screaming his lungs out, it's really awesome. Maybe their next project they release will be a little more intense.

It's not a bad listen for the general hardcore crowd: the first song, "Cry To Heaven", starts off with a sound clip from a Ronald Reagan speech,…Dead Zine 2002Reviewed by D_ListerHere's some primitive hardcore for you. These songs do indeed bring to mind the types of songs a new band would pound out, and as time goes on refine and rewrite. These songs feel about half way through that process to me. There's nothing really bad here, it's just all very basic music that is overly predictable. It's one of those CDs where you feel you've almost heard it before even though you…
