So The Burning Season could be so good but in fact they ruin their potential and sell themselves short with latching onto their influences too tightly and they come across generic at too many points. The Burning Season is a metal core screamo hardcore mix up. At some points their metal brings it hard and then breaks down into a really generic rip off that should be on Victory Records. At other points they do this screamo/metal thing ala early Hopesfall but fall short of anything original. They try to incorporate some good hardcore beats and breakdowns but it just doesn't fuse. Please stop with the death metal growls.
The artwork is pretty rad but artwork never helps the sound. This album is just a giant shrug. Feel free to try something new and expand on your talent.
