The first thing I noticed about this album was the title of track number two. "Pregnant Boys". It definitely put a not so pretty picture in my head. Anyway, this album is fairly hard to describe with words. It's not out of this world indescribable, but the sounds they create are unique. Musically, they range from your traditional, too common basic chord progression to seemingly random notes that shouldn't fit but do.

At points in "Such Triumph" the vocals are in the same vein as mewithoutYou's Aaron Weiss. That said, they aren't done nearly as well. The vocals range from the talking/screaming of Weiss to attempts at actually singing. The singing is definitely lacking in almost all aspects. However, some of the sung background and group vocals sound very nice. Even with those extras, the vocals leave more to be desired.

After all of the things I've said, I'm not sure why I find myself listening to this album at all. There are so many flaws to point out, but somehow the guys in Narrator keep it from being unbearable . I'd even go as far to say that the album is above average in some parts. Unfortunately, those parts are the minority. I wouldn't recommend anybody to buy this album on a whim. Unless you've heard a few songs from them and dig what you hear I'd try to stay away.
