Dear God! It's chaotic crust metal! It's overwhelming and downright powerful. It's dark and ominous. In the vein of Converge, Backstabbers INC, Neurosis, this bi-city (Salem, Mass/Atlanta, GA.) four piece powerhouse is hitting the streets and our ear drums in one of the most dominant recordings of the year. This style isn't really what I usually consume musically but I can't ignore it. It probably won't even stay in my rotation for very long but I can't let it go by the way side without giving Call Me Armageddon its proper respects. It's ferocious and dirty and unforgiving. To call TP&TG angry is to call a wolverine a kitten. These guys are irate and they wear their emotions on their sleeves. I got lost within the album and didn't find my way out for many hours afterwards. I had to sit down and read the lyrics and look over the artwork (which suits them perfectly).
TP&TG stay away from any type of long and tiresome metal solos and they don't milk their songs. They are aggressive and right to the point. It's right in your hostile little face and invades your pathetic little world. It's not upbeat at all so don't go looking for the silver lining because it isn't there.
