To me, this cd showed me how much difference production can really make on a recording. I love the Through and Through track on Blessed Be This Killing, except the redundant, 40 second opening. The very same song is performed on this cd and I don't like it at all. Also, the T&T track from the Radiowaves & Gibberish compilation is on here, also poorly produced. To be honest, I think that this cd shows good effort but lack of quality in the end product. Please do not judge all T&T by this cd if this is all you've ever heard, they really are much better than this cd presents them. Their full length destroys this cd. Moving on to Subterfuge, what can I say except they plague this cd worse than the production. I'm not going to lie to you, I thought Subterfuge was terrible. I found myself listening to them in astonishment that anyone would ever write those songs and think they were good, not to mention recording them. The production is a mess, the vocals are lame and the music itself is extremely poor. Please do yourself a favor and think about buying some other cds before this one.

HM Magazine #77Reviewed by Doug Van PeltHere's some great tunes. Through and Through take more of a metalcore approach, with huge grooves and almost unblack vocals (but mostly hardcore screeching); while Subterfuge have roots in old school punk, albeit still pretty hardcore. I dig the power in T&T a little more, but both of these bands are solid and worth checking out. Kudos to Declaration Records for putting out this split CD.
