Ticklepenny Corner is an indie band from the Wisconsin area. Their music is mostly easy listening with smooth jazz overtones. The songs are all well written and original. Like Jason and the G-men, they aren't the usual CCM style--which probably hinders them from gaining radio play--but then they don't sound like every other band out there either. The musicianship seems to be good, but some of the acoustic material seemed weak or poorly mixed. The tunes with jazz overtones showed a lot of promise--too much to write this band off--but like most indies, it needs better production.
