This is a pretty hot project. Hook-laden hard rock with decidedly evangelistic lyrics make up this 3-song tape. Mark Buttafuoco, who used to play in The Mission (the New York Christian underground band, not the U.K. Mission), does a good job on leads here. The first time I heard this tape, I was disappointed, but it's since grown on me. It has a midwest industrial rock sound mixed with commercial hard rock. Kind of like a mix between the Altar Boys and John Cougar Mellencamp. It's not metal, but I like it. Give it more than one listen if you buy it.
