You talk about your lack of truth in advertising. I'll tell you up-front: THIS IS NOT A HARDCORE COMPILATION! BUYER BEWARE!
With that aside, I will tell you what the Godcore Chronicles are: a two-CD set with cuts from hard-to-find bands that are, for one reason or another, no more. All the bands and artists here have one thing in common- they used to be on the now-defunct R. E. X. label. What the Godcore Chronicles is good for is hearing some killer cuts from some equally killer (and in some cases, ahead of their time) Christian bands. Many extreme genres are represented here: death metal (Living Sacrifice. . .the Nonexistent era, for those who only know the Reborn LS), cybercore (Brainchild, Circle Of Dust, Argyle Park), hardcore (Six Feet Deep- one of the finest and misrepresented bands of our time), punk thrash (The Lead, Greg Minier), hard rock (Passafist, Killed By Cain, Velocipede), thrash (Sacrament, Believer), and neo-classic metal (Haven, Veni Domine).

Of course, songs like "Dies Irae" (Believer), "Skate or Die" (The Lead), "Front" (Six Feet Deep), "Twisted Reality" (Circle of Dust), and…
