Little trip down hair-metal memory lane, anyone?
X-Sinner is that band that everyone around me was touting as the "Christian AC/DC." Since, at the time I came across X-Sinner, I was still into AC/DC, I was happy to get it, pun intended. The claim was a bit lacking, however. There is a definite difference between AC/DC's sound and X-Sinner's. Whereas AC/DC is more of the three-chord-Chuck-Berry-with-the-fuzz-on blues metal, X-Sinner is more like Def Leppard's first two albums, or Night Songs-era Cinderella.
The secular comparisons aside, Get It is a good album, standout cuts here being "Medicine", "Walking Evil", "Accountable", "Living On The Edge" and "Get It". Don't let the hair metal label scare you. Sometimes you just gotta stick this one in your car's tape deck, roll down the windows, and crank it while cruising around at night. . .
