    All Access was a Kentucky Christian punk band formed in 1998 by Doug Lucas. The group began as a very young act, with loud guitars and upbeat alternapunk energy, though its early songwriting lagged behind its musicianship. On 15 Charismatic Wonders, the punk-pop framework supported songs about pride, repentance and relationships, including the unusually direct anti-abortion song "Legally Murdered." The band also treated Christian themes as ordinary subject matter rather than a separate stylistic category. The Composites of Rock and Roll widened the approach through slower punk anthems, Queen-like guitar work and stronger vocal harmonies. By Secrets, All Access had moved toward fuzzier guitars with a more modern alternative-rock shape, drawing closer to Radiohead and Coldplay while retaining its punk emphasis.

    In 2001, All Access played a Nashville date on the Vans Warped Tour alongside mainstream punk and alternative acts. The following year, The Composites of Rock and Roll appeared independently, marking a step away from the straightforward debut sound while keeping the band outside a major label system. In 2003, while between albums, it issued "A Million Miles," a polished rock ballad that built toward a heavier finish. During 2004, the group released two separate EPs titled Secrets, first containing three songs and then expanding to six; the second reused "Baby" and "Frying Tonight" while adding new material.
