OK I don't know how to say it any easier, but 40dt's self-titled debut was very hard for me to take. In other words, it sucked don't buy it. I couldn't grasp the sound this band was trying to cross. The guitars were very urban (hip-hop/bluesy) to alternative. I could move to this, but I could only listen to about the first fifteen seconds before throwing a conniption, sorry 40dt. I hope you guys come back so I could give you a better review, but I am no hip-hop fan. I hate knocking musicians because this band could be worse. I mean they could have been another pop-punk band.

I know it did not work for me but the DJ stuff was cool. It had that Harlem urban flavor. This band at times did sound like Limp Bizkit at times. I enjoyed Extra Terrestrial when 40dt's singer battle raps. I hope they do a more rap-core thing next time. Bottom line, I gave them a 2.5 for getting John Reuben to rap. I must say one thing positive about this album. It is a spiritually uplifting disk and has no cussing like pretty much all secular rap does so at least you can keep your Christian standards intact.

Art for the Ears 2001Reviewed by Marco PovervestWith Limp Bizkit's claim to fame it was a matter of time for others to arise from the underground to pour from the same musical melting-pot. 40DT is such a band with the same looks and musical endeavors though I doubt if they're doing it to surf along Limp's slipstream. The first song sets the tone for the rest of the album. Feel The Funk has funky parts varied by heavier guitarwork. It's groovy…HM Magazine #86Reviewed by The Kern County KidMy oh my! Has Rowe Prod. changed! Formerly a metal-only label, this band shatters that notion, but they do it with hard 'n' heavy power. Rapcore is in da house! Leaning heavy on its hip-hop influence, these place lots of interesting ingredients in the mix. The clean 311 vocal sound is present, there's some scratching, and there's some run of the mill guitar tones (let's be honest). While I'm not…Dead Zine 2000Reviewed by SORGThe biggest surprise about this cd is that it was put out by a new label that just happens to be a "sub-label" division of Rowe Productions, who are known primarily for their involvement in the metal scene. Well, metal this isn't. Rap-core this is! The music on here will appeal strongly to fans of bands like P.O.D. and Limp Bizkit with its groove heavy guitars and hip-hop beats. Overall this cd…
