Kinda cheesy, but in a good way. All Star United's first release is fun, addressing real problems but not taking them too seriously. ASU pokes fun at Christians who just want to jump on the Jesus bandwagon but don't want to get their knees scraped in the process with songs like "Smash Hit" and "La La Land." They also take a break from their tap-dancing style to talk about boy/girl relationships in "Torn," "Drive," and "Tenderness." The rest of the album is just a chocolate cupcake for your ears, sprinkled with "Whoo-hoo-hoo's" and "La-la-la's." Very listenable, unless of course you're lactose-intolerant.
Highlight of the Album: "Red Carpet" -- Here we see ASU at its most intense. The tight harmonies and aggressive guitars really drive home the question of where you will spend your eternity.
Most Entertaining Part of the Album: The hidden track. And that's all I'm going to say about that. Oh, and that guy on the back of the cover with the 80's sunglasses. What's up with that?
