An easy vote for most improved band of the year. Not that their previous effort was bad, mind you. It was just somewhat unadventuresome. The three songs here expand significantly on their earlier work. Much better production, stronger vocal delivery, greater depth with the synth sounds, and cleaner guitars all mark the improvement. The result is straight-forward industrial-rock, with inevitable comparisons being made to Nine Inch Nails. The lyrics are as far from NIN as you can get, however, with a very up front Gospel message. If Blank Face continues to improve at this pace, they will certainly be a band to watch in the near future.
