Brainchild is the newest band to enter the industrial revolution of Christian music, and one of the best! The band includes Scott Albert (Circle Of Dust), and Doug Mann (well known from work with Believer and Living Sacrifice).
Most of their songs have a great beat to dance to. The album starts off with "Carnal Tyrant" which isn't their heaviest song (they save that for later) but was still a great song to start the album off with.
"Telltale Crime" comes up next, with many samples of George Bush, and other people talking. The song is about the government, and how they abuse the public. "Prayers of a Dead Man" is the best song on the project and blows the house down. The song is about a man who feels guilty and ashamed. At the end, he says a prayer, "Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep if I shall die before I wake this dead man's prayer do not forsake-Pray dead man."
"Regressor (Aggressive Mix)" is a great dance mix, but not the strong point on the album. "Enshrined" is another great thrashing tune, a great mosh track! The song is about a lot of different controversial subjects with some pretty hard core lyrics.
"Deviate," a great speed metal song with very creative lyrics, shows up on side 2. The song is trying to tell you that you shouldn't take problems out on other humans. The song has some very intense and morbid lyrics, be sure to check them out.
Well, overall, this album is one of my favorites. I wish I would have bought it on CD, because I play it so much, the tape will stretch.
