    Honestly, this is one of those tapes that just bugs me to death. Brother Brother consists of Billy Plate (Vocals, guitars) and Carl Kelly (keyboards, percussion) and they have so much talent it's astounding. No wonder Giant Records picked them up. This tape has a few mellow tunes, but overall they could be called power pop. That's what bugs me. The band seems as if they're about to cut loose, but they never really do. The two best tunes, "Send Down The Fire" and "Lead Me To The Rock," have the best guitar solos, but they're way too short and the jamming at the end of "...Rock" gets lost in the vocals. Lots of promise. If they can overcome the CCM complex and get a touch heavier, fans of commercial metal will love them. Overall, a good debut.
