It's been two years since we last heard from the hard rockin' Swedish metal trio Charizma. This latest demo represents the band's most extensive release of fresh material since their debut LP back in 1984 with seven brand new tracks. Just in case you are new to Christian music, or if you've been living in Tibet for the last ten years, Charizma is Sweden's premier hard rock act. Formed by Janne, Goran and Bosse Nikolausson in 1981, Charizma has been quietly refining their sound and building a fan following throughout Europe, America and Australia. Charizma plays catchy, melodic hard rock; blending a tight rhythm section with guitar and keyboards with increasing keyboard emphasis and better guitar solo work. The new demo is brilliant! Old favorites "Take You High" and the omnipresent "Turn Me On" sit well alongside such fine new tracks as "Longin' For Heaven," "Runnin'," "In Love With You" and "Feels Like I'm In Heaven." And Charizma's publicist wondered if we still remembered them...Sure enough. Now, if somebody would just sign them to a decent contract.
