Here's an underground band that knows how to place hooks in their songs. "He Won't Hurt You" starts off the tape with a memorable chorus that'll stick in your brain like peanut butter to the roof of your mouth. "I Wanna Be Like You" has another big chorus, where lead vocalist Russ Atteberry's vocals shine out. "Living It Up" suffers from a muddy and what seems like an unsure guitar lead intro. The rest of the guitar leads do well. "Guilty (To the Crime of Love)" closes the tape with another good example of the Chosen Stranger trademark - a hook you won't forget. The lyrics hit home with the grace and justice of God: "Love took Him to the cross." Of special interest are the producers of this tape: Tommy Cathy (Degarmo & Key) and Greg Morrow (Amy Grant). They did a good job making these guys sound airplayable, making this some of the cream of the custom crop.
