If you like Scripture-base hard rock, then you'll like No Compromise. They are more of a project than a band, but I'll explain why. The nine songs on this full-length tape are in the commercial rock vein, and the music is really good. Talk about scripture, there are 22 references for you to look up! The lyrics are thought provoking as well. "Hate and lies will destroy/You play your life as if it's a toy/You're playin' hard and livin' fast/You're just a puppet in Satan's cast." (from Fool's Choice) The only real drawback is in the production, but we'll have to forgive Greg Coleman and Steve Zimmer, the two band members, because they are presently in prison in Rawlins, Wyoming and all they had access to was a 4-track recorder! Lots of talent! I'd really like to hear what they could put out if given access to a real studio!
