Guitar virtuoso and world-renown axeman David Zaffiro does it again! Man, where does this guy's creativity end? He cranked out the best with Bloodgood, and now shows his arena of style hasn't even begun to be tapped. "In Scarlet Storm" picks up where "The Other Side" left off, and he doesn't even miss a beat. It seems the maturity of his music deepens, parallel to his never-ending search for a deeper maturity in the knowledge and revelation of God's truths. The intensity of that search is evident throughout the album as you identify with the vulnerability the emotion, and the human frailty that surfaces as we deal with the turmoil and storms that life brings. But, as always, God brings healing and carries us through it all. The guitar he plays and the music he brings give you that little extra boost, saying, "Hey man, it's okay. Just let it go. Give it to God, and He'll take care of the rest." The technical ingenuity of this album shows David Zaffiro can methodically set the mood and still leave a smoldering trail of blazing heavy metal to help burn it on your heart. In comparison to "The Other Side", which was about 30% heavy, "In Scarlet Storm" is 90% heavy - a serious guitar shreddin' blaze that sets the pace for those that like it pretty heavy. Experience the power of "In Scarlet Storm," and you're in for a journey you'll not soon forget.
