HM Magazine's favorite indie band of 1997 is back with their second full-length release. Man this is definitely one of the best modern metal albums I have heard in a long time! Addictive hooks, HUGE hypnotic grooves, and powerful vocals abound! The musical style is slow and heavy power thrash along the lines of ETERNAL DECISION and ...And Justice for All era METALLICA. Vocally, Seth Poor pulls off a stunning performance sounding hard and aggressive at times and melodic and emotional at others. The melodic side of this band was obviously inspired by KING'S X. The lyrics are bold for the gospel, mature, soul searching and introspective. Lyrically I must say that there are few bands that impress me this much. "Dreams collide, when we pull on the fragile heart strings Thoughts are turned to the past. We hope and pray, still a precious loved one dies. We can't hold on to these lives....... And I feel I'm being molded" --- Lyrics from the title track "Mold". I have also heard that these guys are simply amazing live. So if you get a chance to see them play, don't miss it.

The Phantom Tollbooth 2000Reviewed by Eric DaamsWhen a band receives as much critical acclaim for their debut as Eloi did, you know they have to be good. Mold begins with a slight distortion, then steady drumming and a thick guitar groove. Seth Poor's rough yet melodic…HM Magazine #78Reviewed by Doug Van PeltThe boys from Dallas are back with another album, this one an improvement. Comparisons of the band will fit more closely with Pantera rather than Tool, due to the speed of the material and the heavy, crunchy grooves. The BGV's remind me of Vanishing Lessons era Tourniquet, and the vocals of Seth Poor aren't too far away from Luke Easter during his non scowling moments, like the softer choruses.…
