If you thought the only place to go from 80's thrash was to death metal, maybe you haven't heard Forbidden's latest. While the "mighty" Metallica seem all the time less so, this third release from an unfortunately lesser known band is quite crushing, staying thrashy, yet not dated. Anderson's vocals are less operatic but more powerful. and the machine-like instruments are precise yet monstrous! I don't know how hard this album might be to find but if you need the best in pure, unadulterated thrash, search hard for this.
