If you are a fan of extremely strange music with a lot of sound effects and noises then you will sincerely love FE. Based in Florida, this band's type of explosive death metal-grind, mixed with just flat out groove will satisfy most types of music. The production of this album is very good, with the cover and inside of the C.D. case looking very professional, and not cheap. The songs that stick out in my head are "Human Reich," "Imbecile Factory," "Uncalled For," "Hanging On A Tree," "And In Answer."

Many of the songs on this C.D. sound very similar to a person's ear, but let me be the first to tell you that if you listen hard you will find distinctions that draw themselves out. The lyrics are very complex, but inevitably cool. Each song makes you think and listen really hard to decipher what the vocalist is saying, which if you listen to metal music, is common place anyway. On some songs the bass sounds like something out of a bass C.D. ("Uncalled For") and on others the guitar takes control with the drums to solidify the sound that I think the band is trying to achieve. The guitar on some of the tracks does sound a little out of tune, but could be the end result of detuning, and really not anything to wonder about.

The music changes from derangely mellow ("I Think"), to death ("Human Reich"), to metal influences with tastes of grindcore-groove ("Imbecile Factory") to yes even heavy rock ("Stephen Hawking Walked Away.") So you can see how every song brings something different to the table, in the Lord's name. With this being a 3-piece outfit, it's unreal to fathom the imagination running amuck in their minds. The Lord has blessed them well.

Looking back at the end result of the C.D., I do find several things that are not really in my best music interest (beginning vocals on "Cannibalized"), but I find many others that DO fit that category (the ending of "Imbecile Factory.") I would recommend this album to anyone who listens to such music as Korn, White Zombie (with much heavier vocals), and someone who loves incomprehensible vocals. The music is tremendously done, and shows in the quality of the instrumentalization. If you love death music, you will be taken back at the strangeness of this album, but drawn to it in the same respect. You just have to listen to it to believe it.

Garlic Press #6Reviewed by tedcoreMaybe you caught our interview with Julio Rey in Garlic #3 where he told us all about this CD, well now we have it beginning with a beautiful gtr ballad. Then you hit track 2: grindcore in the truest sense of the word. The best way to describe this song or album for that matter would be to somehow mix Disrupt with Slayer & Earth Crisis and occasionally throw in a little Minor Threat. As with FE's…Critical Mass #2Reviewed by Tom EdmondsonThis album and this band have a real polemical style reminiscent of the Old Testament prophets. First is the name which is a stab at Frank Zappa who claimed that Christians were his enemies. Secondly, the subject matter of many of the songs on this disc take issue with many things that are at odds with Christianity. Most noticeable is the song "Stephen Hawking Walked Away". (Hawking is the…The Phantom Tollbooth 1996Reviewed by Josh SpencerDon't buy this unless you have to have every Christian death metal album. Very fast, sloppy death metal with some hardcore vocals and slowed down doom metal thrown in on occasion. Below-average production (but much better than previous Frank's Enemy albums). 1.5 tocksDead Zine 1996Reviewed by D_ListerThe best Grindcore in a long time? The best Death Metal in a long time? The best hardcore in a long time? The best doom in a long time? What do you call this? I don't know, how about the best CD in a long time? THAT's IT. Oh, and do you like noise? Well it's done really well here too. Could there be any more sounds this CD has to offer? Well, did I mention groove/funk? No? Just listen to "Stephen…
